The unhinged hatred of the left has been on display since before President Trump was even inaugurated. Their venom for our President is so intense it has excused behavior ranging from rude to violent. However, the displays of hysteria and malice have taken a different turn recently. The vitriol which had been predominately focused on Trump has become darker, louder, and has metastasized beyond President Trump.
Apparently it’s now acceptable by many Trump haters to refuse service to certain individuals who hold contrary political positions to theirs on the grounds that they’re judged to be morally inferior. A couple of weeks ago press secretary Sarah Sanders, was “asked”, by the owner, of the “Red Hen”, a restaurant in Virginia, Stephanie Wilkinson,. The owner wasn’t even in the restaurant when Sanders and her family came in to dine. A member of the wait staff called her at home to inform her. Wilkinson came to the restaurant solely to eject Sanders.
Not surprisingly, the Never Trump faction has regarded this repulsive display of incivility as an act of heroism. Reportedly, since this incidence the “Red Hen” has been fully booked.
Members of Trump’s administration are even being shouted at when off the clock going about their daily lives. Kirstjen Nielsen couldn’t even have a private dinner with her husband without being approached by a mob screaming “shame”, in protest of Trump’s attempt to secure our borders by enforcing the law, which led to the separation of families. One of the protesters actually works for the Justice Department.
Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell has also been verbally confronted by angry mobs on numerous occasions in the last couple of weeks while he was out in public having dinner.
While Democrat lawmakers are unanimously outspoken in their disapproval of President Trump, Maxine Waters, Congresswoman from Texas, has taken the anti-Trump rhetoric to a new low by publically calling on her supporters to harass members of the Trump administration whenever they are seen out in public.
Albeit, some Democrats, such as Chuck Schumer (D-NY) have stated their disagreement with this tactic, many others have defended Water’s dangerous rhetoric, which in essence has put a target on the backs of those who serve the President.
The fact that Waters was not even censured by Congress, never mind expelled and even defended for this depraved incitement of hatred is deeply troubling. As every reasonable American should be, Trump was angered by this attack on those that work for him, and referred to Waters as having a low IQ. Many thinking people who have heard Waters speak would agree with Trump’s assessment. Pathetically, legal CNN analyst, who is openly hostile to Trump, Jeffrey Toobin has characterized this statement as being racist. What exactly is Toobin saying? Ironically, it is Toobin’s perception of racism in Trump’s statement that sounds racist.
Another victim of the left’s attempt to take- down those that support the President is Jim Jordan, Congressman from Ohio, who is poised to possibly be the next speaker of the house, succeeding Paul Ryan. Jordan has been a staunch supporter of the President, and has been invaluable in the attempts to hold the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of investigation accountable for their flagrant bias in favor of Hillary Clinton and against Trump in the investigation of Clinton’s emails, and the Trump/Russia investigations.
Shamefully, an event that occurred 30 years ago is being unearthed in an apparent attempt to put a roadblock in front of Jordan. Jordan is being accused of ignoring the abuse of boys while working as a wrestling coach decades ago at Ohio University. He has vehemently denied this allegation. Additionally, numerous colleagues that worked with Jordan at the time have come forward to disclaim these accusations and vouch for his integrity. In spite of this support the coverage has remained negative, painting Jordan as someone with a nefarious background.
The latest victim was Shannon Bream from Fox News. Bream was standing in front of the Supreme Court covering the Brett Kavanaugh pick when she was threatened by a group of angry left-wing protesters shouting slurs at her. The situation was so volatile that she became concerned for her safety and abandoned her usual post, and had to report from inside the safety of the Fox studio. Later she tweeted that having to vacate a field assignment because of safety reasons was an extremely rare event.
Democrats have apparently declared war on those on the right, particularly anyone perceived to support our president. Their tactics, while disturbing will hopefully have the opposite effect of the intentions of the untethered left and stir up our Republican base to get out and vote! Polling of likely voters in the upcoming midterm election, still favor the Democrats, but indicates a narrowing of their lead. It’s vital that Republicans hang on to the control of both the House and the Senate. If Democrats gain control of Congress they will completely hamstring our president, and in all likelihood groundlessly vote to impeach. Every Republican in a district with a lawmaker up for reelection needs to vote and encourage every other Republican to vote. Our Constitutional Republic depends upon our President and needs to be protected from the increasingly growing unhinged hate-filled faction on the left.
