Key Takeaways From Mike Flynn’s Sentencing Memo

The Sentencing memo for Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, was released Tuesday night by the Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is tasked with investigating possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Last December Flynn plead guilty to lying to federal agents. Mueller has recommended minimal to no jail time citing Flynn’s “substantial” cooperation with “several ongoing investigations.”

Trump was Right about Honduran Caravan

Many in the media predicted that the migrants known as the “caravan” would probably never make it to the United States, and if they did it would take months. Well a few weeks later 7,500 of them are here, camped on the outskirts of San Diego in Tijuana, Mexico. President Trump was also demonized when he referred to the Honduran migrants as an impending invasion, rather than peaceful asylum seekers. Former President Obama even mocked Trump for adding additional troops along the border. However, Sunday, Trump’s actions and predictions proved prescient when a thousand migrants attempted to storm the border into San Diego, some waving their home country’s flag and others throwing rocks and bottles striking border agents. During the chaos 69 migrants actually made it through onto U.S. soil, and are facing prosecution.

What You Need to Know about Migrant Caravan

Thousands of Central American migrants are on the march heading to the United States demanding to benefit from the generosity and riches of our country. Many reports have estimated their numbers at 7,000. However, according to the Mexican newspaper El Universal the “caravan”, which started as a couple of thousand has morphed to a massive 14,000.

They are coming mainly from Honduras, but among their ranks are Guatemalans, Mexicans and El Salvadorans. Sara Carter, of Fox News and The Hill, on location in Guatemala, has reported that the caravan also includes individuals from India, Bangladesh, and Africa, as well as members of MS-13 gang members. Tyler Houlton, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, has also confirmed that there are gang members, and others with”significant criminal history” embedded within the caravan. Houlton also confirmed Trump’s claim that some of the migrants are from the Middle East. Further, according to Carter, and other reports, the majority are young men, with little to no English- speaking ability.
