After months of learning about a document alleging a bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Biden, against the wishes of the FBI the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee has released it to the public.
The document details information from a Confidential Human Source who reported to the FBI in June 2020 conversations he had with Burisma CFO Vadim Porjarskii and Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky while Joe Biden was Vice President. The conversations occurred between 2015 and 2017 on the phone and in person in Ukraine and Vienna in late 2015 and early 2016, respectively, to discuss Burisma’s interest in purchasing a US-based oil and gas business.
Since the announcement of the existence of the FD-1023 form detailing the allegations that then-Vice President Biden and his son Hunter accepted bribes from a foreign national, who we now know is Zlochevsky, totaling $10 million, the FBI has fought transparency at every turn.
It took almost a month after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed to the public that a “highly credible” source disclosed alleged corruption committed by the Bidens for FBI Director Christopher Wray to acknowledge that the document even existed. Moreover, this acknowledgment only came after Senators Comer and Grassley informed Wray that thanks to a whistleblower, they knew the FBI possessed the document.
Even though the FD-1023 form was unclassified, Wray refused to allow even members of Congress to see it until Comer threatened him with a contempt charge. And then, select members of Congress could only view a redacted version of the unclassified document in a classified facility.
One of the purported reasons for the refusal to produce the document, and then only a redacted version, was that the FBI needed to “protect sources and methods”.
Some of the information initially redacted:
When the CHS asked why Burisma needed his assistance regarding the purchase/merger of a US-based company when Hunter Biden, an attorney, was on their board, according to the CHS, the Burisma CFO replied, “that Hunter Biden was not smart.” He added that they only hired Hunter to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems”.
Burisma CEO Zlochevsky also commented that although Hunter Biden “was stupid and his (Zlochevsky’s) dog was smarter,” Zlochevsky needed to keep Hunter (on the board) “so everything will be okay”.
Does anyone believe that revealing the negative critique of Hunter’s intelligence and the “real” motivation for his hire, could expose state secrets?
The explosive revelation by the CHS that Zlochevsky claims to have 17 recordings of telephone conversations with the Bidens -15 with Hunter and two with Joe, which allegedly provide evidence of pay-to play was also initially redacted. Again, seemingly the only reason to omit this information is to protect the Bidens.
Additional New Information
When the CHS asked Zlochevsky if Joe or Hunter told him to retain Hunter, Zlochevsky stated, “They both did.” At the time, then-Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin was investigating Burisma for tax evasion and corruption. The CHS informed Zlochevsky that the investigation would negatively impact Burisma’s prospective IPO in the United States. Zlochevsky replied,
“Don’t worry, Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.”
Rather than rely on Hunter, CHS advised Zlochevsky to pay an attorney $50,000 to litigate the matter in Ukraine. Zlochevsky replied that Burisma would likely lose because they would not be able to prove innocence. Zlochevsky also laughed at the $50,000 number, replying,
“It cost 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden.”
Interestingly, according to the CHS, Zlovesky stated ”that he did not send any funds directly to the “Big Guy””, which CHS understood was a reference to Joe Biden. He added that it would take ten years to find all the bank records of illicit payments to the Bidens.
As we all know, in the spring of 2016, Zlochevsky got his way when then-Vice President Biden, claiming that Shokin was corrupt, threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid to Ukraine if they did not terminate prosecutor Shokin. Ukrainian officials immediately ousted Shokin. Before his firing, Shokin claims he planned to question Hunter about the millions in fees he collected from Burisma.
When the CHS inquired if his involvement with the Bidens concerned him, Zlochevsky replied that he did not want to pay the Bidens, but he was “forced” and “pushed to pay” them.
Since the House GOP began its investigation into possible Biden corruption, they have uncovered 20 shell companies used by the Biden family to receive payments from foreign nationals. In congressional testimony last week, IRS whistleblowers revealed that since 2014 the Bidens were paid at least $17 million from foreign entities. No one can explain what the Bidens offered in return for such a substantial sum.
On Senator Ted Cruz’s Friday podcast, Comer revealed that they have uncovered even more bank records that will “show transactions from Ukraine and Russia.”
Comer added:
“Joe Biden has been selling access to our enemies for decades-long before [Hunter Biden] was involved.”
If not for Republicans winning back the House, the evidence of Biden family corruption would never have seen the light of day. The FBI received these allegations three years ago, yet it appears they never properly investigated them- more likely- FBI officials buried the alleged evidence to protect the Bidens.
Remember, in 2020 Democrats impeached then-president Trump over a phone call in which he encouraged Ukrainian President Zelensky to look into possible Biden corruption in his country. Does anyone believe that the same FBI which colluded with the Clinton campaign to take out candidate and then President Trump with accusations of Russian collusion legitimately vetted claims that would simultaneously exonerate Trump and destroy his political opponent, then-Democratic candidate for president, Joe Biden?
Contradicting the Democratic rebuttal that the investigation was closed during the Trump administration because the FBI found the CHS’s claims not credible, former Attorney General Barr recently stated on Fox News that the investigation remained open.
Barr added that the DOJ did not assess the information alleged in the 1023 form as disinformation. The Federalist reported that the Pittsburgh FBI office corroborated details of the document’s claims, including the CHS’ travel records proving he traveled to the locations described in the document where the meetings took place.
The Pittsburgh office then passed the document onto US Attorney David Weiss, the Delaware prosecutor, probing Hunter- the same prosecutor who signed off on giving Hunter Biden a pass for serious tax violations and a gun charge. The odds that Weiss followed up investigating where the Pittsburgh office left off, rather than bury the explosive allegations- slim to none. Two IRS whistleblowers who lead the investigation into Hunter Biden both testified that they never saw the document.
The House Oversight Committee announced today that Hunter’s former business partner, Devon Archer, will sit down for a transcribed interview with the Committee on Monday. Archer will testify that Joe Biden was involved in dozens of business meetings and phone calls with his son Hunter’s foreign business partners.
Numerous times during the presidential campaign and over the course of his presidency Biden has ridiculously claimed he never discussed his son’s foreign business dealings with him. Archer is expected to blow this lie out of the water.
The American people deserve to know if a criminal selling out our country to foreign adversaries is at the helm of our nation. Thanks to the GOP controlling one half of Congress, the truth is one step closer to seeing the light of day.
