IG Report Impugns Credibility of Investigations

The long-awaited Inspector General’s report on the Hillary Clinton email probe, also referred to as the Midyear investigation, was finally released. The biggest takeaway for most of the media is that the IG, Michael Horowitz, did not find “documentary’ or “testimonial” evidence that bias influenced the outcome of the investigation. However, in this painstakingly detailed 568 page report the bias in favor of Hillary Clinton, and the documented animus for Donald Trump as well as for his supporters, and the consequent desire to prevent his presidency screams from this report.

Surveillance + Informant Equals Spying

As more information surfaces about the extent of the surveillance of the Trump campaign by Obama’s intelligence agencies it is becoming apparent that the actual goal was to ensnare the Trump team in collusion with the Russians. Not, as stated by many, including those in charge at the top level of intelligence during Obama’s tenure, to just investigate Russia, to prevent Russian interference.

Was Brennan the Catalyst for the Russian Cloud?

It is now the first anniversary of the special counsel probe, headed by Robert Mueller, into the Trump campaign and possible Russian collusion. Taking into account the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s probe, along with the two congressional investigations, the end of July will begin the third year that Trump and his associates have been under the Russian cloud of suspicion.

Michael Flynn & the Unredacted House Intelligence Report

The House Intelligence Committee released the report on their investigation into Russian interference and collusion with the Trump campaign last week. To the dismay of the committee, and those seeking transparency, the report was heavily redacted by the Department of Justice, citing national security implications, and concerns that its release could hamper their investigation. This past Friday the group of Republicans released an unredacted portion of the report, which adds to the evidence that the treatment of Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security advisor, has been a travesty of justice.

House Intelligence Committee -No Collusion & Clapper is a Leaker

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence released their heavily redacted 253-page report on their investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election this past Friday, April 27. The most salient finding was that there was no evidence of meetings between President Trump or any of his associates that “reflected collusion, coordination, or conspiracy with the Russian government”.

Unequal Justice & the No-Knock Raid of Trump’s Attorney Michael Cohen

The Russia probe conducted by Special prosecutor Robert Mueller has taken a disturbing turn. Upon discovering information considered outside of the scope of his investigation Mueller referred the matter to the Justice Department and the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). Under the orders of the SDNY the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted a no- knock raid of President Trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen’s office, home, hotel room, safe deposit box and electronic devices last week. Prosecutors have already covertly searched Cohen’s email accounts. This was a shocking move especially since Cohen was reportedly cooperating with the investigation.

DOJ and FBI Stonewalling Republicans

Investigations into alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign have been ongoing for almost two years now. Incredibly, there are still questions regarding the evidence that precipitated the commencement of the initial investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which began in July 2016. Shamefully the FBI and DOJ have been stonewalling Republicans requests for documents, thwarting their attempts to conduct an independent evaluation.
