More than likely the impeachment trial of President Trump will be over shortly. President Trump’s attorneys made many compelling arguments for why he should be acquitted.
One of the most persuasive points made by Trump’s legal team is their rebuttal to the Democrat House Managers’ claim that Trump should be impeached for Abuse of Power. Trump’s attorneys have countered, that using Abuse of Power as a reason for impeachment is so vague and so malleable, it is a substitute for disputing a policy difference. In other words, their opinions are partisan and not the least bit credible.

The long-awaited report on the alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuse is finally out. The headline, making the rounds in the mainstream media is that the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz concluded that there was no bias in the opening of the Trump-Russia investigation and no intentional FBI misconduct.
However, the standard that Horowitz used to determine if the opening of the probe was appropriately predicated has a very low bar. The discretionary standard of the Justice Department to open a probe simply requires “articulable facts”. Almost any claimed “facts’ would meet this threshold.

Don’t believe the headlines in the mainstream news. Although day four of the partisan impeachment show starring Ambassador Gordon Sondland at first appeared troublesome for President Trump, it did not end that way.
