House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced on Tuesday that the House will begin an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. It is about time.
“House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct,” Mr. McCarthy said at the Capitol in Washington. “Taken together, these allegations paint a picture of a culture of corruption…”
While those on the left and mainstream media are salivating over the possible lifetime imprisonment of Biden’s top political rival, former President Donald Trump, evidence of Joe Biden’s corruption is mounting.
Here is what we know:
Recall Hunter and Archer, despite having no relevant experience, were each paid more than a million annually to sit on the board of Ukrainian energy company- Burisma. What value did they bring? Seemingly nothing other than Vice President Joe Biden- the point man for American policy in Ukraine.
Last month, in testimony to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, Hunter’s former business partner, Devon Archer, admitted Hunter was selling “the brand” and Joe Biden “brought the most value to the brand”. He added,
“I think Burisma would have gone out of business if it didn’t have the brand attached to it.”
An recently discovered mail exchange between a Hunter business associate, Eric Schwerin, and Biden’s then-communication director show Vice President Biden signed off on White House talking points to use in response to media questions about Hunter and his role with Burisma. But, sure, Biden knew nothing about Hunter’s business activities.
Thanks to the investigative work of the GOP-controlled House and reporting by conservative news outlets, it is undeniable that Biden lied to the American people when he claimed ignorance about his son’s business dealings. Emails and pictures from Hunter’s laptop, along with interviews given by Archer and other Hunter associates, provide definitive proof that Biden was not only aware of his son’s foreign entanglements he also participated.
Hunter and Joe’s Family “Business”
Highlighting the incredulity of Biden’s claim to know nothing about his son’s business, Archer recently disclosed a 2015 meeting he had in the vice president’s mansion with Hunter, an international banker they were courting for business in Kazakhstan, and Joe Biden. No surprise, this meeting was conveniently left off official entry logs.
Hunter’s business associates reportedly visited the White House more than 80 times when Biden was vice president. Doubtful they came to talk about the weather.
A recently disclosed letter written by then-Vice President Biden in 2011 to Archer underscores his closeness with his son’s business partner. In the letter, Biden thanked Archer for attending an event at the State Department where Biden hosted then-Chinese President Hu Jintao. Hunter was also in attendance. Biden wrote:
“I apologize for not getting a chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday. I was having trouble getting away from President Hu. I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter. In a postscript, Biden added, “Happy you guys are together.”
Does anyone believe that the vice president’s office had a reason to invite Archer and Hunter to attend a State Department luncheon with the president of China other than to promote their “business” objectives?
Further confirming Biden’s involvement with his son’s shady foreign business, Biden had multiple dinners with his son’s Ukrainian, Russian, and Kazakhstani business partners, according to information on Hunter’s abandoned laptop and congressional testimony and interviews by Archer. Among those in attendance were the corrupt former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, Russian billionaire businesswoman Yelena Baturina, and a Burisma executive.
After a 2015 dinner, Vadym Pozharskyi, a Burisma executive, emailed Hunter thanking him for the ‘opportunity to meet your father’. Archer testified that the elder Biden stayed for the whole dinner, contradicting Biden surrogates who claimed his appearance at the dinner meeting was fleeting.
Joe and Hunter Biden knew the Vice President’s attendance at these meetings would rightly raise eyebrows. Why else keep the elder Biden’s attendance secret? Weeks before the dinner, Hunter wrote to another attendee that his ‘dad will be there but keep that btw us for now.’ No secrecy is necessary if Biden’s involvement was on the level.
Archer told the House Oversight Committee that Joe Biden was also involved with at least 20 business meetings via telephone to help sell the Biden “brand”.
Democratic lawmakers and many in the media have dismissed Biden’s involvement in the calls and face-to-face meetings as nothing more than Biden being a good dad. How many fathers speak to their middle-aged son’s business partners? And if it was just good parenting, why was “Dr.Jill” never on the calls or present at meetings?
A Whatsup message by Hunter further implicates Joe in his son’s business affairs. In July 2017, Hunter messaged his Chinese business partner, Henry Zhao, CEO of Harvest Fund Management:
“I am sitting here with my father, and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.” Hunter went on to threaten Zhao using his father’s power as leverage:
“And Z if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.’
Within ten days, Chinese firm CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $5.1 million to bank accounts linked to Hunter.
It speaks volumes that the White House has refused to answer if Biden was with Hunter when he sent this mob-like shake-down missive.
Evidencing not only Biden’s involvement but that he may have profited as well, recall the now infamous emails from Hunter’s laptop referring to the “big guy” receiving 10% of a joint venture between the Biden family company and Chinese-owned energy company with ties to the communist government. Tony Bobulinski, another Hunter business partner, stated unequivocally in numerous interviews and congressional testimony that the big guy was Joe Biden.
Further proving that the “absolute wall” Biden claimed existed between him and his family’s businesses was a lie, recent revelations indicate that then-Vice President Biden allowed Hunter to fly with him on Air Force Two to at least 15 countries to sell “the brand” and enrich the Biden family. According to emails from his laptop, Hunter scheduled business meetings during these trips.
Hunter co-founded Chinese state-backed BHR partners just 12 days after accompanying his dad on an official trip to Beijing in 2013. There is zero chance that Biden was unaware of his son’s activities while they traveled together. In fact, while in Beijing, Hunter introduced Biden to Jonathan Li, Hunter’s Chinese business associate, and then-future CEO of BHR, over coffee. Biden also wrote college recommendation letters for Li’s daughter and son.
Pseudonym Emails
As a result of a Freedom of Information Act request, the National archives recently admitted that they have more than 5,400 email messages in which then-Vice President Biden’s office used multiple pseudonyms in exchanges with his son Hunter and others. NARA is refusing to release the emails.
Senators Grassley and Johnson first requested access to Biden’s pseudonym emails in mid-2021 after Hunter’s laptop indicated the Vice President’s office used alias accounts to send government information to Hunter.
One email, sent under an alias while Hunter served on the Burisma board, alerted him to an upcoming scheduled phone call between then-Vice President Biden and then-Ukrainian President Poroshenko. Was Hunter notified of this call because Joe knew his son had business in Ukraine? Was Joe asking Hunter to provide input into what he should discuss with the Ukrainian president?
As part of a lawsuit filed by conservative law firm America First Legal, a recently released tranche of archived Obama-era White House communications revealed that Hunter’s firm, Rosemont Seneca, exchanged more than 1,000 emails with his father, then-Vice President Biden’s office.
Stephen Miller, a former advisor to President Trump and founder of America First Legal, stated on Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s show that NARA completely redacted 200 of the emails they received. Both President Biden and former President Obama have the power to order NARA to release all the emails unredacted. They have refused. What are they hiding?
Viktor Shokin
Archer recently revealed that during a December 4, 2015, Burisma board meeting in Dubai, Burisma executives asked Hunter if they could ‘get help in DC’ to relieve the ‘government pressure’ Burisma was under from the ongoing corruption investigation into the company by Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin. Archer added Hunter replied he would get ‘help from DC’ and immediately after the request, Hunter ‘called his dad’. Allegedly, Burisma board member Vadym Pozharskyi, who dined with Biden that April, joined the call.
Biden traveled to Ukraine days later. Within three months, Ukrainian officials fired Shokin. Recall Biden infamously boasted about withholding a billion in US aid to Ukraine if they did not fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin. Biden declared: “and low and behold he was fired”.
A credible FBI whistleblower came forward claiming that Hunter and Joe each accepted a $5 million bribe from the CEO of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, to force Ukrainian officials to oust Shokin. Zlochevsky allegedly kept incriminating audiotapes – two of Joe and 15 of Hunter.
Ironically, Democrats impeached President Trump for threatening to withhold US aid if Ukrainian President Zolensky did not investigate Biden’s possible corruption in Ukraine. The prevailing narrative at the time and sustained during the 2020 election was that US and European officials agreed Shokin was doing a poor job of combating corruption and he was corrupt, warranting his firing. They also claimed Shokin was not investigating Bursima. Like most information reported by the mainstream media involving Trump, this was a lie.
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Archer disabused the Biden’s and the mainstream media’s argument regarding Shokin’s firing. About Shokin Archer stated:
“He was a threat. He ended up seizing assets of [Burisma owner] Nikolai [Zochevsky]-a house, some cars, couple of properties. And Nikolai actually never went back to Ukraine after Shokin seized all of his assets.”
Confirming Archer’s claims, the Kyiv Post reported that Shokin’s office seized Zlochevsky’s property on February 2, 2016. Shokin was fired on March 29, 2016.
Newly unearthed documents show that the Ukraine point person in the Obama-Biden State Department, Victoria Nuland, thought highly of Shokin. In a 2015 message to Shokin Nuland gushed:
“We have been impressed with the ambitious reform and anti-corruption agenda of your government. “
A couple of months later, another Obama-Biden administration official noted:
“Ukraine has made sufficient progress on its reform agenda to justify a third guarantee.”
Expressing surprise that Biden was pushing for Shokin’s firing, Eric Ciamarella, National Security Council aide, wrote in a January 2016 email:
“Yikes. I don’t recall this coming up in our meeting with them on Tuesday. We were super impressed with the group” from Shokin’s office that visited DC.
While Biden threatened to withhold a billion in US aid to Ukraine if they did not fire Shokin, a European Union report obtained by the New York Times positively assessed the reforms made in Ukraine, and specifically by Shokin’s prosecutor General’s office.
Calling Shokin’s works “an important step forward”, the December 2015 European Commission report approvingly noted the specialized anti-corruption prosecutors’ office Shokin established and stated:
“Based on these commitments, the anti-corruption benchmark is deemed to have been achieved.”
In a recent interview on Fox News’ Fox and Friends, Shokin stated he had a “firm personal conviction…They [the Bidens] were bribed”.
Many Unanswered Questions
As of the latest accounting, bank records obtained by the Republican-led House indicate that the Biden family “earned” $20 million between 2014 and 2019 from anti-American foreign regimes known for corruption. At least nine Biden family members profited. Rather than receive payments through standard channels, the Biden family set up at least 20 shell companies.
If the Bidens ran a legitimate business: Why attempt to disguise payments with shell companies? Why instruct business associates to hide Joe’s involvement? What did the Bidens do to earn $20+ million in a few short years? Why did Biden’s daughter-in-law and grandchildren receive payments? Did Joe profit from his family’s business? Why did Joe attend meetings and participate in conference calls if he had no role in the family business? Why did the Bidens only do business with adversarial nations known for corruption? And what did then-President Obama know about his vice president’s family’s foreign activities?
Unfortunately, left-wing partisans control the FBI and legacy media, so they never asked legitimate questions, never mind answered them. If they did, it is highly doubtful that the current corrupt, incompetent, senile president would be in charge of our nation. But here we are.
The odds that the impeachment inquiry will end with a conviction in the Senate and Biden’s removal from office are almost zero. But that does not mean the impeachment inquiry is just political theater. Once underway, an impeachment inquiry gives congressional subpoenas more power to compel testimony and demand documents, such as bank records, enhancing Republican efforts to expose Biden’s malfeasance.
The evidence of Joe Biden’s corruption is overwhelming. At a minimum, Biden is a pathological liar who aided and abetted his family’s influence peddling. At worse, Biden sold his power to the highest bidder and blackmailed a foreign nation to help his son’s corrupt employer avoid legal peril in return for millions in bribe money. An impeachment inquiry is long overdue.
